WHO WE ARE
Interstitial Theatre is a curatorial team of 3 female artists living and working in Seattle who believe that VIDEO ART has significant value. Together we develop impactful exhibitions that address important issues relevant to the video and new media arts community within Seattle. Since 2010, Interstitial Theatre’s curatorial team has successfully presented 25 exhibitions and events, working with over 45 individual artists of varying backgrounds and disciplines who are making video and new media art.
THE TOUR
...is a six-month long event (April-September 2013) providing free public access to contemporary video art within eight different neighborhoods across Seattle via Interstitial Theatre’s Mobile Screen.
The goal of this project is:
1) To broaden the awareness and knowledge of video art in Seattle by taking video art outside of the gallery walls to the streets where passersby can encounter it more freely.
2) To provide a "venue" for artists making video art to share their work with the community.
